The Salon organises discussions around political, cultural and scientific issues, with the aim of challenging any orthodoxies along the way, defending and developing the legacy of the Enlightenment and, above all, providing a space where free speech can take place. The Switalskis / Leeds Salon Years 10&11 Debating Competition 2022
The Final of The Switalskis/Leeds Salon Years 10&11 School Debating Competition 2022 took place on Wednesday 30th March at Thackray Medical Museum.
Congratulations to this year’s champions Abbey Grange CofE Academy. And well done to Carr Manor Community School and Outwood Grange Academy for making it such a well-fought final.
Congratulations also to the three individual prize winners: ‘Best Individual’ Greta Hirschhorn-Nolan, of Carr Manor; ‘Highly Commended’ Isabel Dixon-Hardy, Abbey Grange, and ‘Commended’ Alhasan Ahmed, Outwood Grange.
